You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is x if x=2, x=x+5. Solve. I don't think it's possible, am I right?
.
The confusion here is you want to know the NEW value of x but you represent it as the same identity as x too.
To re-phrase the question (I'm not questioning your teacher):
What is x%5B2%5D if x%5B1%5D=2 in eqn x%5B2%5D=x%5B1%5D%2B5?
Then you can solve it. Continuing,
x%5B2%5D=2%2B5
x%5B2%5D=7 -----------> final answer
Thank you,
