You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/4t-5/4=1/3t
We begin by getting the "t" on one side and the 5/4 on the other.
So we subtract add 5/4 on both sides:
3/4t-5/4+5/4=1/3t+5/4
That cancels out the 5/4 on the right and leaves:
3/4t=1/3t+5/4
Now we will subtract the 1/3t from both sides,
3/4t-1/3t=1/3t+5/4-1/3t
Now we have the "t's" on one side and 5/4 on the other.
When add or subtract fractions we have to get the LCD. so to add 3/4+1/3 we need the LCD. Which is 12.
So now we have:
9/12t-4/12t=5/4
5/12t=5/4
To get rid of the 5/12 on the left side, so you can have t alone. You need to add it inverse, which is 12/5.And remember what you do to one side you do to the other.
5/12t(12/5)=5/4(12/5)
That leaves us with:
t=60/20
t=3

Hope you understand! =)
