You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+2x+%2B+2y+=+-4+
Divide both sides by +2+
(1) +x+%2B+y+=+-2+
and
+x+-+2y+=+1+
(2) +x+=+2y+%2B+1+
Plug this into (1)
(1) +2y+%2B+1+%2B+y+=+-2+
(1) +3y+=+-3+
(1) +y+=+-1+
and
+x+-+2y+=+1+
+x+-+2%2A%28-1%29+=+1+
+x+=+-2+%2B+1+
+x+=+-1+
------------
Answer is b) (-1,-1 )
If I try c) ( 0,-2),
------------
(1) +x+%2B+y+=+-2+
(1) +0+%2B%28-2%29+=+-2+
(1) +-2+=+-2+
and
(2) +x+=+2y+%2B+1+
(2) +0+=+2%2A%28-2%29+%2B+1+
(2) +0+=+-3+
So, c) does not work
