You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plot the point (-1,1)

The first coordinate -1 is the x-coordinate

Find -1 on the x-axis and draw a vertical line through it,
like this in green

The second coordinate 1 is the y-coordinate

Find 1 on the y-axis and draw a horizontal line through it,
like this in red:

Notice where the green and red lines cross. Draw a dot there.

Erase the green and red lines and label the point (-1,1):

Notice that is directly above -1 on the x axis and right beside 1 on the
y-axis.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
plotting point:
(-1,1) => x=-1 and y=1
first dray Cartesian coordinate system
+graph%28+600%2C+600%2C+-5%2C+5%2C+-5%2C+5%2C+0%29+
then, go to y=1, place the ruler parallel to x-axis and draw a line

then do same from x=-1, draw a line parallel to y-axis

your point (-1,1) is where these lines intersect
