I don't know if you mean 4sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%283%29%2F6 or %284sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%283%29%29%2F6. In either case, you can't cancel out the square roots unless the sum of all the coefficients is zero (in this case it isn't). Also, in both cases there will still be a sqrt%283%29 somewhere so the answer is an irrational number.
