the multiplicative inverse is a number that, when multiplied by the selected number, gives a result of 1.
an examle:
the selected number is 8/3
the additive inverse is -8/3 because 8/3 - 8/3 = 0
the multiplicative inverse is 3/8 because 8/3 * 3/8 = 1
if the selected number is 4, than the multiplicative inverse is 1/4 because 4 * 1/4 = 1
if the selected number is -9, then the multiplicative inverse is -1/9 because -9 * -1/9 = 1
if the selected number is 5, then the multiplicative inverse is 1/5 because 5 * 1/5 = 1
if the selected number is 2, then the multiplicative inverse is 1/2 because 2 * 1/2 = 1
