You can put this solution on YOUR website!
daughter's age now is x, mother, y
In 5 years, daughter will be x+5 and mother y+5
y+5 will be 2(x+5)
y-x=19
y=x+19
Therefore x+19+5=2(x+5)
x+24=2x+10
x=14 years now for daughter ANSWER
Mother is 33
In 5 years, their respective ages will be 19 and 38.

If the difference in their ages is 19 years, then the mother will be twice as old as her daughter when the daughter is 19 and the mother is 38.

Since that will be 5 years from now, the mother's age now is 38-5 = 33.

That means her daughter's age now is 33-19 = 14.
