You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I assume this is a real life problem.
If so, at this point, I should not waste your time with lengthy explanations.
x= grade on the final exam
finalgrade=0.7%2A63.1%2B0.3x
finalgrade=44.17%2B0.3x
For a 70:
44.17%2B0.3x=70
0.3x=70-44.17
0.3x=25.83
x=25.83%2F0.3
x=86.1
For an 80:
44.17%2B0.3x=80
0.3x=80-44.17
0.3x=35.83
x=35.83%2F0.3
x=119.4
So, there is no chance for an 80.
With a 100 on the final:
finalgrade=44.17%2B0.3%2A100
finalgrade=44.17%2B30
finalgrade=74.17
