Question 836428: In a class of 25 students, the average score is 84. Six students in the class each received a maximum score of 100, and seven students each received a score of 60. What is the average score of the remaining students?
-I tried a complete of ways and i kept getting 92 but its saying its not right. Please Help!!!!

average score = ( total of all scores ) / ( number of students )
Let +x+ = the total of all scores
+84+=+x+%2F+25+
+x+=+2100+
---------------
Total for 6 students is +6%2A100+=+600+
Total for 7 students is +7%2A60+=+420+
+600+%2B+420+=+1020+
-----------------------
+25+-+%28+6+%2B+7+%29+=+25+-+13+
+25+-+13+=+12+
There are 12 remaining students
whose total score is +2100+-+1020+=+1080+
Average of remaining students is +1080+%2F+12+=+90+

Total score is 84*25=2100
6 students scored 100. So 6*100=600.
7 students scored 60. So total score of 7 stu is 420. Remaining 12 students..so 2100-(420+600) gives 1080. 1080/12=90. 90 is the avg of teaming students.
