Question 423407: The measure of an angle is 44 more than teh measure of the its supplement. Find the measures of the angles.
I got this for a formula:
x = 44(90 - x)
So x = 88
The book says the answers are 112 and 68. How did they do that? Thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let a = unknown angle
given:
+a+=+180+-+a+%2B+44+
+2a+=224+
+a+=+112+
68 is the supplement of 112 since
+68+=+180+-+112+. I'm not sure why
that is a solution also.
