Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = Karla's age
x + 3 = Ama's age {Ama is 3 years older than Karla}
x + 5 = Daniel's age {Daniel is 2 years older than Ama}

x + x + 3 + x + 5 = 32 {sum of their ages is 32}
3x + 8 = 32 {combined like terms}
3x = 24 {subtracted 8 from each side}
x = 8 {divided each side by 3}
x + 3 = 11 {substituted 8, in for x, into x + 3}
x + 5 = 13 {substituted 8, in for x, into x + 5}

Karla is 8
Ama is 11
Daniel is 13
