Since Marika’s was 8 in 2004, then her father was: 4(8), or 32 then
Let the year when her father can say that he’s 3 times her age, be y
Then we can say that: 32 + y = 3(8 + y)
32 + y = 24 + 3y
y – 3y = 24 – 32
– 2y = - 8
y, or amount of years after 2004 when her father can say that he’s 3 times her age = , or 4
This means that he will be 3 times her age in 4 years’ time, or in (2004 + 4)
