You Like to Travel, Who Doesn't?

But won't it be nice if you could find a great deal on travel without going to a bazillion of travel sites, such as Expedia.com, travel.yahoo.com, orbitz.com, and a whole slew of "name-your-own-price" sites, e.g. priceline.com or hotwire.com? Kind of like "one-stop shop". I hear you say "sure" but how and what's the difference to the above mentioned guys?

Let me give you my take. All of these sites are fundamentally travel agencies, i.e. they buy, say, a bunch of seats from an airline at a discount and then sell them to you. Also the sites may have distribution deals with the hotel or airline, by virtue of which they have an upfront discount even if they only sell one ticket. Whether they pass these discounts or part of them or not to you is one of the differences.
