what is the slope of the line?
what does the slope represent in this situation?
what is the y-intercept (C-intercept)?
what does the y-intercept represent in this situation? 1 solutions
Answer 259071 by user_dude2008(1861) on 2010-10-28 20:47:16 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!slope m = 0.05
what does the slope represent in this situation? variable cost
y intercept (0,4.95)
what does the y-intercept represent in this situation? fixed cost

Equations/358330: You lose your electronic tag that you use to pay tolls on the highway in your city. It costs you $24 to replace the tag. The cost of one toll when you don't use the tag is $3. The cost of the same toll when you do use the tag is $1.50. How many times will you have to use the tag to pay for the tolls in order for the total cost to be the same as not using the tag? 1 solutions

Quadratic_Equations/357478: I have been working on this all week and I just cannot get it. I know this is short notice but it is due with in the next 12 hours PLEASE HELP!
A plasma TV company determines that its total profit on the production and sale of x TVs is given by: P(x)= -x^2+812x-9600
the question that i am stuck on are as follows, and i have to show the work:
1. Find the solutions and explain what these solutions represent.
2. How many TV’s must be produced to reach a minimum or maximum profit?
3.What is this minimum or maximum profit?
4.What is the vertex of this graph? How is this point related to your answers from e and f?
I also have to graph it but i think i can do that if i have these answers
thank you so much in advance. 1 solutions
Answer 255255 by user_dude2008(1861) on 2010-10-17 15:39:43 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!1) Solutions: x = 12, x = 800
2) 406 tvs must be produced
3) max profit = $155236
4) vertex (406,155236) x coordinate from 2) y coordinate from 3)

Complex_Numbers/357132: find an expression in simplest form for a polynomial of third degree with real coefficients having roots of 3 and 1-2i 1 solutions
Answer 255037 by user_dude2008(1861) on 2010-10-16 15:58:31 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!(x-3)(x-(1-2i))(x-(1+2i))=0
(x-3)(x-1+2i)(x-1-2i)=0
(x-3)((x-1)+2i)((x-1)-2i)=0
(x-3)((x-1)^2+4)=0
x(x-1)^2+4x-3(x-1)^2-12=0
x(x^2-2x+1)+4x-3(x^2-2x+1)-12=0
x^3-2x^2+x+4x-3x^2+6x-3-12=0
x^3-5x^2+11x-15=0
Answer: x^3-5x^2+11x-15
