 Radicals/78450: rationalizing the denominator. Simplify the expression. Square root of 7/81 solutions Answer 56258 by stanbon(57387)   on 2007-04-16 19:43:31 (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!Simplify the expression. Square root of 7/8 You want the denominator to be a perfect square; so you multiply numerator and denominator by 2 to get: sqrt(14/16) =(sqrt14)/(sqrt16) = (sqrt14)/4 ============= Cheers, Stan H.
 Graphs/78448: how do you graph: y = -2/3x + 61 solutions Answer 56256 by stanbon(57387)   on 2007-04-16 19:41:15 (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!graph: y = (-2/3)x + 6 Plot two points: If x=0, y=6 If x=3, y=4 -------------- Draw a line thru those two points. ========= Cheers, San H.
 real-numbers/78449: This question is from textbook the university of chicago scholl mathematics project algebra scott foresom integrated mathematics 2.what is a fraction that is not a simple fraction? 3. a rational number 1 solutions Answer 56255 by stanbon(57387)   on 2007-04-16 19:37:50 (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!2.what is a fraction that is not a simple fraction? (2/3)/(4/5) is a complex fraction because the numerator is a fraction. The denominator in this case is also a fraction. ----------------- 3. a rational number A "rational number" is one that can be written as the "RATIO" of two integers, such as 2/3 or 4/1 or 1/4. The denominator must not be zero. ============= Cheers, Stan H.
