Here's how I set up the problem:
a + b + c = 45
3a + 2.7b + 2.25c = 2.8(45)
Eventually, I ended up with no solution, which I am pretty certain isn't the correct answer. My textbook does not have any example problems of this nature, so I don't really have any idea as to how to go about solving them; any help would be greatly appreciated. 1 solutions

you need at least three equations
c for creme
n for nuts
r for raisins
c+n+r=45
3c + 2.7n + 2.25r= 2.8(45)
Now you need a third equation.
r=2n
c=30., n=5., r=10.

Miscellaneous_Word_Problems/634416: Devon, Frank, Fua, Morris, and Pedro belong to the same gym. The gym rules prohibit the staff from giving out personal information about their clients. However, each of the five men said just enough that you can figure out their exact weights.
Devon: Pedro weighs 18 pounds more than I do. None of us weighs over 200 pounds.
Frank: My weight is divisible by 7. Morris weighs 12 pounds more than I do.
Fua: Three people are heavier than I am. Pedro's weight is a prime number.
Morris: I'm heavier than Pedro. Devon is the lightest.
Pedro: Morris's weight is divisible by 10. The five of us together weigh a total of exactly 840 pounds.

All you can do is combine the terms.
The instructions are vague.
Multiply the first term by 2/2
