if we are asked find method of moment estimate of variance?
2 methods i tried 1 is giving wrong answer and other correct
variance=(beta)^2
thus estimator of variance=(beta hat)^2.this gives wrong answer
but estimator of variance =M2-(M1)^2 gives correct answer
i want to ask what is wrong in first method?
