You are correct. Anything multiplied by zero is zero. So you could have a million terms multiplied here, but just multiply that whole mess by zero will get you zero (regardless of what you got beforehand).

Are all linear equations functions? No. Here's an example:

Ex: The equation x=5 is linear (since it graphs a straight line) but it is a vertical line. So it fails the vertical line test which means that x=5 is NOT a function.
