x=-16/-2
x=8 in weeks you'll have $11 more than your cousin.
proof
25*8+16=27*8
200+16=216
216=216

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x=25+3x
5x-3x=25
2x=25
x=25/2
x=12.5 this says if you use the services 12 times it is cheeper to pay the $5 fee:
5x=60
25+3*12=25+36=61 thus you save $1 for 13 sessions it is cheeper to pay the $5 session fee.
5*13=$65
25+13*3=25+39=$64 thus you save $1 if you are a member with 13 sessions.

You have to find the x intercept form and the y intercept form.
Then Graph the equation.
The problem is y=x+2

y=x+2 this says this line has a slope of (1) & the y intercept is (2) or (0,2).
now find another point by setting y=0 & solve for x.
0=x+2
x=-2 or (-2,0).
now locate these 2 points (-2,0) & (0,2) & draw a line through them.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
slope=(3+2)/(-2-3)=5/-5=-1 now replace x & y in the standard line equation
[Y=mX+b] WHERE m=SLOPE & b=Y INTERCEPT & SOLVE FOR b.
-2=3*-1+b
-2=-3+b
b=-2+3
b=1 THUS THE LINE EQUATION IS:
Y=-X+1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+3(x+10)=150
3x+3x+30=150
6x=150-30
6x=120
x=120/6
x=20 mph for the slower boat.
20+10=30 mph for the faster boat.
proof
3*20+3*30=150
60+90=150
150=150

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2x+4>12
-2x>12-4
-2x>8
x<8/-2 [note dividing by a negative number reverses the < or > sign.
x<-4 answer.
proof let x=-4.1
-2*-4.1+4>12
8.2+4>12
12.2>12

The sum of three consecutive integers is 915. What are the integers?
1 solutions

Answer 74300 by checkley75(3666) About Me  on 2007-10-03 21:57:47 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X+X+1+X+2=915
3X=915-3
3X=912
X=912/3
X=304 FOR THE SMALLEST NUMBER
304+1=305 FOR THE NEXT NUMBER
304+2=302 FOR THE LARGEST NUMBER
PROOF
304+305+306=915
915=915
