PUT THE EQUATION IN THE LINE FORM THUS
4X+Y>=4
Y>=-4X+4 THIS LINE PASSES THROUGH THE Y INTERCEPT (0,4) WITH A SLOPE OF -4
THE X INTERCEPT CAN BE FOUND BY SETTING Y=-0 THUS
0>=-4X+4
-4>=-4X
X=>-4/-4
X=>1 OR THE OTHER POINT IS (1,0)
NOW DRAW A LINE THROUGH THESE TWO POINTS (1,0)&(0,4) AND SHADE THE AREA BELOW THIS LINE TO ELIMINATE ALL VALUES OF X & Y THAT DO NOT SATISFY THIS EQUATIION.

I don't have graphing capability but will try to help.
for q<5 you need to draw a verticle doted line through the points (5,0) & shade the area to the left of the line (all points q<55).
for q>16 draw another verticle doted line through the points (16,0) and shade the area to the right of the line (all points q>16) .
-----------------------------------------------------------------
for x>-2 draw another verticle doted line throught the point(-2,0) and shade the areato the right of this line.
for x<-5 draw a verticle doted line through the points(-5,0) and shade the area to the left of the line.

Geometry is a vast subject.
Need a little more information like:
What is your specific needs TRIANGLES (area,perimeter, angles, patagorian theorem [a^2+b^2=c^2], etc.)
RECTANGLES (area, perimeters, diagonals, etc.)
CIRCLES (circumferance, area, chords, angles, etc.)
GRAPHING lines using the line formula (Y=mX+b), finding the slope of a line, finding the line formula when you have two points or a point & a slope.

Present a speciofic area & I'm sure we'll be able to asist you master whatever!!!!!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The key to solving angles within triangles is: the sum of all three angles is 180 degrees.
The most common triangles is the 45/45/90 & 30/60/90.
If your given two fo the angles say 40 & 50 then assign the unknown angles x then 180=35+40+x
180=75+x
180-75=x
x=105
---------------------------------------------------------
Another example would be one angles is 15 more than the second and the third is 45 less than the first. Let x be the first angle then the second is (x+15) and the third is (x-45). Now just add these three angles and set the sum = to 180 thus:
x+(x+15)+(x-45)=180
x+x+x+15-45=180
3x=180-15+45
3x=210
x=210/3
x=70
proof
70+(70+15)+(70-45)=180
70+85+25=180
180=180

Exponents/62629: i really need some help with this equasion: x^4 over x^5 times x^ negative 2 over x. I've tried adding the top exponents which is x^2 and then I added the bottom exponents which is x^6 i think and then I put x^2 over x^6 then I put it x^2-6 which equals x^ negative 3 put I don't think thats right so if you could help me I would be very happy! thankyou

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=4X^2+16X+23 USING THE QUADRATIC EQUATION WE GHET
Y=(-16+-SQRT[16*16-4*4*23])/2*4
Y=(-16+-SQRT[256-368])/8
Y=(-16+-SQRT-112])/8
Y=(-16+-10.583i)/8
Y=(-16+10.583i)/8
Y=-2+1.323i
Y=-2-1.323i

Linear-systems/62496: One type of gasohol is 10% alcohol and another type is 35% alcohol. How much of each type must be mixed to obtain 400 gallons of a 25% alcohol mixture?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
400*.25=.10X+.35(400-X)
100=.10X+140-.35X
.25X=40
X=40/.25
X=160 GALLONS OF 10 % GASOHOL
400-160=240 GALLONS OF 35 % ALCOHOL
PROOF
400*.25=.10*160+.35*240
100=16+84
100=100

Graph the following equations; calculate the slope, x-intercept, and y-intercept, and label the intercepts on the graph.

4.2x + 3.8y = 1.9

CAN'T HELP YOU WITH THE GRAPHING BUT I'LL GIVE YOU ALL THE POINTS AND THE EQUATION
Y=mX+b
3.8Y=-4.2X+1.9
Y=(-4.2/3.8)X+1.9/3.8
Y=(-2.1/1.9)X+.5
Y=-1.1X+.5 NOW YOU HAVE THE SLOPE OF THIS LINE (-1.1) & THE Y INTERCEPT OF.5
SETTING Y=0 YOU CAN GET THE X INTERCEPT THUS
0=-1.1X+.5
1.1X=.5
X=.5/1.1
X=.4545 WHICH IS THE X INTERCEPT (.4545,-1.1)(0,.5) ARE TWO POINTS ON THE LINE.

6z^3-27z^2+12z factoring out 3z we get
3z(2z^2-9z+4)
3z(2z-1)(z-4)

Equations/62466: At 6:00 A.M. a Pony Express rider leaves San Antonio for Las Cruces. His horse travels at 10 miles per hour. A second Pony Express Rider leaves at 9:00 A.M. with the sole purpose of giving an additional package for the first Pony Express rider to deliver. The second rider’s horse travels at 18 miles per hour. At what time will the second Pony Express rider catch up to the first Pony Express rider. (Assume that the horses maintain the same rate of speed and that no hindrances affect either horse or rider).

Answer 43223 by checkley71(8403) About Me  on 2006-11-21 19:01:10 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
DISTANCE=RATE*TIME SO
D=10T FOR THE FIRST RIDER
FOR THE SECOND RIDER WE HAVE
D=18(T-3) SEEING AS THE DISTANCES ARE EQUAL WE HAVE
10T=18(T-3)
10T=18T-54
10T-18T=-54
-8T=-54
T=-54/-8
T=6.75 HOURS AFTER 6:00 AM WHICH MAKES IT 6+6.75 OR 12:45 P.M.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3X+Y=-8
5X-Y=-16 NOW JUST ADD THESE TWO EQUATIONS
------------------------------------
8X=-24
X=-24/8
X=-3 NOW SUBSTITUTE (-3) FOR X IN EITHER EQUATION & SOLVE FOR Y
3(-3)+Y=-8
-9+Y=-8
Y=-8+9
Y=1
PROOF
5(-3)-1=--16
-15-1=-16
-16=-16
