You can put this solution on YOUR website!
So 84% of the class which has 64 students will receive a passing grade...
Ok to get 84% into a decimal we divide 84 by 100 to get: 0.84
Then we need to multiply 0.84*64 to get: 53.76
Since you can have 53.76 students we need to round off our answer to get: 54
So 54 students will get a passing grade

Probability-and-statistics/249686: A bag contains 7 lavender marbles, 11 turquoise marbles and 5 rainbow marbles. What is the chance of drawing a rainbow marble? If a rainbow marble is drawn then placed back into the bag, and a second marble is drawn, what is the probability of drawing a lavender marble? Thanks!

The correct answer to your question is....
First you need to add up your total amount of marbles... 7+11+5=23
Next you need to find the probability of drawing a rainbow marble... 5/23
Then it says that the rainbow marble is placed back into the bag, and a second marble is drawn, so we need to find the probability of selecting a lavender marble... 7/23
So the answer is..... 5/23, 7/23
The only way the amount of marbles (the denominator) would have changed is if the question said that the first marble drawn was not placed back into the bag. If that was the case then our denominator or amount of marbles would have changed to 22 instead of 23. Does this make sense and help you out?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To get the surface area of the other object that is 1/6 the size of the first object that is 324 sq.ft. you would divide 324 by 1/6 to get...
324/6= 54
So the surface area of the object would be 54 sq. ft.
