ok all you have to do is get X by itself. what ever you do to one side you HAVE to do to the other. like so:
x-5<8
+5 +5 =
x<13 =answer
now you can see that i added the five to both sides to cancel out the negitive that the five had and to move it to the left. you add the five to the 8 and PRESTO you have your answer! hope its helped you!


Linear_Algebra/11867: How could I create a slope-intercept form if I am given this information: x int = 3, y int = 2. The only equation I could find to use was y-2 = m(x-3). Is this the correct form to use?

ok yes that is the right eqution to use to find the slope intercept form. just plug in your x and y into thier spots and work out the problem from there. then if your teacher wishes you to put it in standard form re arrange to wear the problem resembles this: Ax + By = C (a and b being your numbers) from thier you should beable to figure it out! hope ive helped you!
