Answer 233956 by Fombitz(13828) About Me  on 2010-07-29 08:28:04 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First subtract the $2.00 for the first mile.
3.95-2.00=1.95
Find out how many 1/10 miles cost $1.95.
N=1.95%2F0.15=13
So she traveled an additional 13 tenths or 1.3 miles.
M=1%2B1.3=2.3miles

Linear_Algebra/326738: If I have a triangle and they give me the degrees to two of the angles how do I find the sides?
1 solutions

Answer 233946 by Fombitz(13828) About Me  on 2010-07-29 08:08:29 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you know two angles, then you know the third angle since the sum of the angles is 180.
However, without knowing at least one side, you can't know any information about the sides.
Knowing all of the angles, you can't tell if a side is 1 inch or 1 mile long.

Linear-equations/326623: What is the graph of 2(y - x)= 3 using the slope-intercept method?
1 solutions

2%28y+-+x%29=+3
y-x=3%2F2
y=x%2B3%2F2
.
.
.
Start at the y-interept:(0,3/2)
Since the slope is equal to one,
DELTA%2Ax=DELTA%2Ay
So if I move 2 units in the x, I move two units in the y.
So another point on the line would be,
(0,3/2)+(2,2)=(2,7/2)
Plot the two points and join them with a line.

Your formula doesn't have an "=" in it.
So you can't solve for any of the variables in terms of any other variables.
Please re-post.
