Solved by pluggable solver: SOLVE quadratic equation (work shown, graph etc)
Quadratic equation ax%5E2%2Bbx%2Bc=0 (in our case 1x%5E2%2B-110x%2B1+=+0) has the following solutons:

x%5B12%5D+=+%28b%2B-sqrt%28+b%5E2-4ac+%29%29%2F2%5Ca

For these solutions to exist, the discriminant b%5E2-4ac should not be a negative number.

First, we need to compute the discriminant b%5E2-4ac: b%5E2-4ac=%28-110%29%5E2-4%2A1%2A1=12096.

Discriminant d=12096 is greater than zero. That means that there are two solutions: +x%5B12%5D+=+%28--110%2B-sqrt%28+12096+%29%29%2F2%5Ca.

x%5B1%5D+=+%28-%28-110%29%2Bsqrt%28+12096+%29%29%2F2%5C1+=+109.99090833947

Quadratic expression 1x%5E2%2B-110x%2B1 can be factored:
1x%5E2%2B-110x%2B1+=+%28x-109.99090833947%29%2A%28x-0.0090916605299185%29
Again, the answer is: 109.99090833947, 0.0090916605299185. Here's your graph:

what is the least value of 4sec^2x+9cosec^2x ?
----------------
f(x) = 4sec^2 + 9csc^ = 4cos^-2 + 9sin^-2
f'(x) = 4*-2cos^-3*(-sin) + 9*-2sin^-3*cos = 0
8sin/cos^3 -18cos/sin^3 = 0
8sin^4 - 18cos^4 = 0
4sin^4 - 9cos^4 = 0
cos^2 = 1-sin^2 --> cos^4 = sin^4 - 2sin^2 + 1

First, we need to compute the discriminant b%5E2-4ac: b%5E2-4ac=%28-18%29%5E2-4%2A5%2A9=144.

Discriminant d=144 is greater than zero. That means that there are two solutions: +x%5B12%5D+=+%28--18%2B-sqrt%28+144+%29%29%2F2%5Ca.

x%5B1%5D+=+%28-%28-18%29%2Bsqrt%28+144+%29%29%2F2%5C5+=+3
x%5B2%5D+=+%28-%28-18%29-sqrt%28+144+%29%29%2F2%5C5+=+0.6

Quadratic expression 5x%5E2%2B-18x%2B9 can be factored:
5x%5E2%2B-18x%2B9+=+%28x-3%29%2A%28x-0.6%29
Again, the answer is: 3, 0.6. Here's your graph:
graph%28+500%2C+500%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-20%2C+20%2C+5%2Ax%5E2%2B-18%2Ax%2B9+%29

---------------
Ignore the 3 solution, tho sin(x) = sqrt(3) has a complex solution.
-----------------------
sin^2(x) = 0.6 --> cos^2(x) = 0.4
sec^2(x) = 2.5
csc^2(x) = 5/3
===========================
4*2.5 + 9*(5/3) = 10 + 15
= 25

absolute-value/668572: -5 I 6a + 2 I = -15
I = absolute valu sign
I was taught to drop the absolute value sign, set up two equations--one = to -15 and one = to 15 and then solve for a. So for this problem, I wasn't sure if I should drop the absolute value sign and then it would be -5 x 6a + 2 = -15 and -5 x 6a + 2 = 15 OR if I should first distribute the -5 as if the absolute value signs were parentheses. Thanks so much for your help.

If you use the same formula, the account with the higher interest rate pays the most interest, regardless of the # of months.

Number-Line/668517: A friend of mine is having trouble with doing this problem and I have no clue how to help her out. Her teacher is telling her she to take another look at her overtime pay rate calculation..please do help her and me. thanks.
She chose option 1: Method 1:(total regular hours X hourly rate) + (overtime hours X overtime rate)=gross pay
And this is her information :
Pay rate: 14.26
Regular Hours: 80
Overtime hours: 6
Overtime rate: 1.5 (time and a half)
(80 x 14.26) + (6 x 1.5) = gross pay
80 x 14.26 = 1140.80 6 x 1.5 = 9

Find the interior angles of the triangle with vertices A=(3,2), B=(4,5), C=(-1,-1)

One way is to find the lengths of the 3 sides, then use the Cosine Law.
Can you do that?

Another is to find the slope of each side and then find the angles. Less work than the 1st method.
