Help doing what?
It's not an equation, all equations have an equal sign.
equal, equate, equation.
This is just a trinomial. What do you want to do?

If a triangle has two short sides that are each three and four inches in length, how long is the longest side?
-----------------
To find the missing elements of a triangle, you have to know at least one side, and 2 other elements.
With only 2 elements given, it can't be solved.
----------------
You can state that the length of the 3rd side has to be >1 and <7 inches.
Since you state that the 3rd side is the longest, then side c is
7>c>4

You drive a car from Milwaukee to Chicago in 95 min. What is its velocity in km/hr
150 km/(95/60) hr = 9000/95 kph
=~ 94.74 km/hr
----------------
and speed in m/s?
(150 km * 1000m/km)/(95 min * 60 sec/min)
= 150000/5700 m/sec
=~ 26.3 meters/sec
--------------
Were you speeding? Use 150km as your distance
I'm always speeding
-------------
Why is the km/hr called a velocity, and the meters/sec a speed?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I am given z=(5.5+5.5i);determine z^4
z = 5.5(1+i)
Using multiplication:
z^4 = (5.5^4)*(1+i)^4
z^4 = 915.0625*(2i)^2
z^4 = -4*915.0625
z^4 = -3660.25
----------------
|z| = 5.5*sqrt(2)cis(45)
z^4 = (5.5^4)*4cis(180)
z^4 = 3660.25*(-1 + 0)
z^4 = -3660.25

Polygons/258387: How do I find the measure of each interior angle of a 14-gon
1 solutions

Answer 190227 by Alan3354(31538) About Me  on 2010-01-19 11:55:59 (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of the exterior angles = 360
Each exterior angle = 360/14 = 180/7
Each interior angle = 180 - (180/7) = 1260/7 - 180/7
= 1080/7 degs
---------------
The sum of the interior angles = 180*(n-2) = 180*12 = 2160 degs
Each angle = 2160/14 = 1080/7 degs

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-y+2z=-21
x+5y-z=25
-3x+2+4z=6
I had attempted to replicate the example.
6x-3y+6z=-62 ** = -63, not -62
-6x+4y+8z=12
-------------- Add
y+14z=40 ** -51
----------------
3x+5y-3z=75 ** + 15y, not 5y
-3x+2y+4z=6
17y-z=81 --> 17y + z = 81 ** not -z
---------------
Your method is good, but you made some errors.
-------------
y + 14z = -51 --> y = -14z - 51
17y + z = 81
----------- Since y has a coeff of 1, use substitution.
17*(-14z-51) + z = 81
-237z - 867 = 81
-237z = 948
z = -4
--------
y = 5
------
Sub to find x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Factor completely: 64x^3+343
-----------------
It's the sum of 2 cubes.
a%5E3+%2B+b%5E3+=+%28a%2Bb%29%2A%28a%5E2+-+ab+%2B+b%5E2%29
Sub 4x for a, and 7 for b
--------------------
64x%5E3+%2B+343+=+%284x%2B7%29%2A%2816x%5E2+-+28x+%2B+49%29
--------------------------------
The difference of 2 cubes is similar:
a%5E3-b%5E3+=+%28a-b%29%2A%28a%5E2+%2B+ab+%2B+b%5E2%29
The difference of any 2 odd powers is also similar.

It's possible for it to be a bigger number, but the units are different.
A cube 2 units on a side has a volume of 8 cubic units.
It's surface area is 6*2^2 = 24 square units.

If Sam can do a job in 4 days that Lisa can do in 6 days and Tom can do in 2 days, how long would the job take if Sam, Lisa, and Tom worked together to complete it?
---------
Use the shortcut, abc/(ab + ac + bc)
= 4*6*2/(4*6 + 4*2 + 6*2)
= 48/(24 + 8 + 12)
= 48/44
= 12/11 days

If the 1st = is a +, then Edwin's solution is good.
If it's a minus sign, it's a different solution.

You can see in Greenfinch's photo that he's sound asleep.
Greenfinch said it's a circle, but used a minus sign which makes it a hyperbola.
