Question 1136577: For a population that has a standard deviation of 20, determine the standard deviation of the distribution of means for samples of size of 4
For this problem do I use the formula:
𝜎
___
√𝑛
where the answer is 20/2= 10??
Please clarify if this is correct. Thank you in advance
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
standard deviation of the distribution of sample means is the standard deviation of the population divided by the square root of the sample size.
you get 20 / sqrt(4) = 20 / 2 = 10
that makes you correct.
