since the total value of the area under the density curve is 1, then the area of the density curve between 6 and 8 has to be 1 - .7857 which is equal to .2143.
.2143 of the students got between 6 and 8 points.
that would be .2143 * 28 = 6.0004 which round to 6.
6 students got between 6 and 8.
22 students got less than 6 or greater than 8.
6/28 = .2142857143 which rounds to .2143 with accuracy of 4 decimal points.
22/28 = .7857142857 which rounds to .7857 with accuracy of 4 decimal points.
