Presuming your bucket is a frustrum of a right circular cone, the volume in cubic centimeters is given by:



Where is the height (depth in the case of your problem), is the radius of the large end, and is the radius of the small end. Since you are given diameters of the two bases, you will need to divide by 2. Plug in your numbers and do the arithmetic. Since your measurements are given to the nearest whole centimeter, you should round your calculation at this point to the nearest whole cubic centimeter.

Once you have the volume in cubic centimeters note that one cc equals one milliliter. Since there are 1000 ml in a liter, divide your volume by 1000 to get the volume in liters.
