Question 16318
This is the equation of a line. It is in the form y=mx+b. m stands for the slope of the line and b stands for the y-intercept of the line (meaning where the line crosses the y-axis...the actual point would be (0,b)). The x-intercept is the point where the line crosses the x-axis (that point would be (x1,0)). So what you really have is the equation y=2x+0. m=2, b=0, and to find the x-intercept you would plug in 0 for y and then solve for x (0=2x+0). Hope that helps!
