Question 88370
f(x)= (x - 1)/((x - 5)(x + 7))
Generally, you would assume that the domain for a function is all real values ... but, you must look for limitations. The limitation here is that a value of zero can not be in the denominator. So:
x - 5 can not equal zero
x + 7 can not equal zero
So:
x can not be 5 nor -7
Domain: (-{{{infinity}}},-7), (-7,5), (5,+{{{infinity}}})
Or: All Values but -7 and 5
