Question 9309
Since y=x
and y = x+2,

substitute the x in the first equation for the y in the second equation:
y = x+2
x = x + 2

Add -x to each side:
x-x = x-x + 2
0 = 2

And when does 0 = 2? Not in this lifetime!!! So there is NO SOLUTION for this problem. There is no solution because the lines are PARALLEL!!
