Question 720818
Given F(x)=-2x^2+6x-1. Find the vertex and the axis of symmetry, and graph the function.
So far I've graphed the function. I think the vertex is 3/2,7/2, but I'm not sure. I need help finding the axis of symmetry please, thanks!
-----
Vertex occurs at x = -b/(2a) = -6/(2*-2) = 3/2
----
f(3/2) = -2(3/2)^2+6(3/2)-1 = 7/2
--------
So, you are correct.
-----
Since the parabola opens downward the the vertex is at x = 3/2
-----
Axis of symmetry is x = 3/2
