How do you find an area of a figure.  For example:  a rectangle with sides 7 yd and 11 yd.  do you multiply 7x11x7x11=154 for all 4 sides or just 7x11=77

Area of a rectangle = L*W = 7*11 = 77 sq yds.

Perimeter = L + W + L + W = 36 yds

PS 7*11*7*11 = 5929, not 154
