Which values of x and y minimize N for the objective function N= 2x+y?
constraints {x+y >=8, x+2y >=14, x>=0,y>=0}
a) (0,0) b) (0,7) c) (2,6) d) (8,0) 
I came up with the answer c, but the book says a is the answer. How can a be the answer?

Ans: "a" is not the answer, if the constraints you posted are correct.
(0,0) is not in the solution set for x + y >= 8
