which of the following points lies in the plane 
-2x+7y+2z=4?
x = 1, y = 2, z = -4 works  
Pt(1,2,-4)
My recommendation would be to substitute the x-values ,y-values and z-values 
 into the EQ {{{-2x+7y+2z=4}}} to see if they work
