Question 7141
My calculator says that the arithmetic comes out to 1655.64.
Scientific notation usually has one integer digit times a power of 10.
This would make the number 1.65564 x 10^3. Rounded to three decimal places would give 1.656 x 10^3.

However, in some calculators and computers (especially) the scientific notation, stored as a floating point number, only uses the fractional coefficient, giving 0.165564 x 10^4. This to three decimal digits would be 0.166 x 10^4.
