Question 622201
what happens when a line crosses the x-axis? well the 'x-axis' is actually a line with the equation y=0 so now that you know that, you will understand this: whenever you have an x-intercept the y coordinate is 0! AWLAYS!!! so how about you set y=0 in this function. well lets see what happens.

{{{5x+2(0)=10}}} well thats the same as {{{5x=10}}} now you can see that {{{x=10/5=2}}} so the x-intercept = 2 , or in ordered par notation, (2,0)

NOTE: you do the exact same thing with the y intercept as the equation of the y-axis is x=0 so when looking for the y-intercept, you plug x=0 into the equation and solve for y
