For this one u have to learn the rule of power (exponential) which is:

This means that if the base of two numbers with exponent are the same (which is y), and they multiply each other, you can jsut add the two exponent together and get the new number. In this case, (y^5)*(y^3), you can just simply add 5 with 3 and get 8, so the answer of this question is (y^8)!!!

(y^5)*(y^3) = y^(5+3) = y^8
