Question 399462
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

I'm going to presume a typo on your part and that you actually meant

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \left(-2.9x^2\ +\ 3.1x\ -\ 7.6\right)\ +\ \left(2.7x^2\ -\ 4.1x\ +\ 9\right)]

Now, instead of x-squared and x and no variable at all, you have apples, new york steaks, and bunches of broccoli. Which is to say:

-2.9 apples plus 2.7 apples is -0.2 apples.

3.1 steaks plus -4.1 steaks is -1 steaks.

-7.6 little trees plus 9 little trees is 1.4 little trees. (maybe mom won't see me give them to the dog)

Now put the x-squared and the x back where they were:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ -0.2x^2\ -\ x\ +\ 1.4]

Th-th-th-th-th-that's all folks.

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
