Substitute a zero for *[tex \Large x], and then calculate the resulting value of *[tex \Large y\ =\ b].  Plot the point *[tex \Large (0,b)]


Substitute a zero for *[tex \Large y], and then calculate the resulting value of *[tex \Large x\ =\ a].  Plot the point *[tex \Large (a,0)]


Draw the line through your two plotted intercept points.
