You can subtract fractions as long as you have the same denominator.
In this case you do.
You could also substitute to make it more visible.
If you let

{{{4A-3A=A}}}
{{{4A-3A=1/(6(x-1))}}}
However the denominator does go away or cancel out, it stays.
