Question 307378
First I would change the rate of 5.9 mi/hr to feet per minute. To do this multiply by 5280 feet per mile, and divide by 60 to change the hours to minutes.

Rate = 5.9 * 5280/60= 519.2 feet per minute.

Now, the distance to be run is 4.75x10^4 =47500 feet.

Use the formula {{{d=rt}}} to solve for t, {{{t=d/r}}}.
{{{t= 47500/519.2= 91.48}}} minutes, or 1 hour and 31.48 minutes.

Add this to the starting time of 11:15 a.m., and you get
11:15+ 1:31 = 12:46 p.m. approximately.
