You have three numbers, so you can make three different pairs of numbers.  If all possible sums of two of the numbers are greater than the third number, then it is possible to make a triangle.


For example, 0.5, 0.8, and 0.3 would NOT make a triangle.  Because 0.5 + 0.3 = 0.8.  That means you would have a straight line instead of a triangle.
