How do you solve  {{{ x^2 = 6y }}}?
I already tried to set 1/4p equal to 6.

There's no way to solve it.  It's 2 unknowns and only 1 equation.

If 1/4p = 6, then
p=24 if you mean (1/4)p = 6, or
p=1/24 if you mean 1/(4p) = 6
