You aren't explaining what you need to do with this expression, unless it is actually an equation and you mistyped "+" between the parentheses when you meant "=".  That is to say you meant:


*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ (-4x+5)= (2x^2 +{1\over2}x-12 ) ]


It also isn't clear whether you meant *[tex \Large (2x^2 +{1\over2}x-12 )] or *[tex \Large (2x^2 +{1\over {2x-12}} )]  


Repost with an explanation of what you are supposed to do, and/or correct your typo(s), if any.
