Question 159887
Heidi said that 6 billion can represent the area of a square. about how many units long is the square? how do you know?
The area of a square is L*L (since L=W); A=L*L or L^2

So, L^2=6,000,000,000 now we take the square root of both sides
L=about 77,460 units (this is the square root of 6000000000)

Hope this helps---ptaylor
