Question 151320
The length of a rectangle is 3 in. more than the width.
L = W + 3
-------------------
The perimeter of the rectangle is 24 in.
P = 2L + 2W
24 = 2(W+3) + 2W
24 = 2W+6 + 2W
4w + 6 =24
4W = 18
W = 9/2 = 4 1/2
L = 4 1/2 + 3 = 7 1/2
--------------------------
