Question 578815: A salary increased by 7% is now $625 per week. What was the salary before the raise?
I keep trying the formulas with Base Rate & Portion and keep coming up with 581.25.
$625 X .07 =43.75
625- 43.75 = 581.25
or
$625 X .93=581.25
Why is this not correct?
Thank You
