How far will she have left to go after two days?

Let d = remaining distance after two days
:
d = 3240 - 1%2F8(3240) - 1%2F6(3240)
Both of these fraction will cancel into 3240, so you have
d = 3240 - 405 - 540
d = 2295 mi to go
