y=2x-5
Use slope-intercept form y=mx%2Bb where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
graph the point (-5) on the y-axis .... then, go 2 units up and 1 to the right (use the slope: 2/1) or you go two units down and one unit to the left (use the slope: (-2)/(-1))

for y<2x+1 .... graph the line as dotted and shade beneath the line (hence, < means less than)
